西雅圖，是美國西北重鎮，不論藍領白領，勤奮是其中一樣特徵，2022年尾失業率只有3.5%。或者Starbucks星巴克已經沒有以往吸引，但聰明的西雅圖人繼續有「講得出做得到」的精神，正正彰顯在近年全新改建的Climate Pledge Arena。

西雅圖市長倡議市議會批准這個球場項目，除了吸引投資者組成北美冰聯第三十二支球隊 Seattle Kraken – 西雅圖海怪之外，亦繼續遊說NBA將來再讓這個城市營運世界級職業籃球球隊。
這座建築物歷史悠久，1962年建成以便主辦廿一世紀博覽會，其後冠名贊助成為Key Arena，是已搬遷的NBA西雅圖超音速隊的主場館。現在看來，球場外觀貌似六十年前一樣，但內裡全新設計已經是劃時代。

西雅圖市長倡議市議會批准這個球場項目，除了吸引投資者組成北美冰聯第三十二支球隊 Seattle Kraken – 西雅圖海怪之外，亦繼續遊說NBA將來再讓這個城市營運世界級職業籃球球隊。
這座西雅圖地標Climate Pledge Arena耗資11.5億美元興建，工程最大挑戰是保留原有屋頂，保持華盛頓遺產及國家古蹟名單，同時，在必須不影響4500萬磅重的屋頂情況下，鑽鑿地下岩層，成為北美獨一無二的地下體育城。
